When no signal is available there will be a fault with the baseband (RF) circuits. This will also stop a device from being activated or produce a message "Mobile Data Update Failed" This fault could be caused anywhere in the baseband circuit and is often caused by a bad power supply, a short or most likely a series of bad connections under the baseband Processor IC or PCB. We will investigate and replace faulty components restoring baseband functionality. Before ordering, check if the IMEI number and Modem Firmware are shown under the ABOUT section of the settings. If either of these are missing you most likely have a baseband problem that we can repair.
